What do you think about fad diets?
In just about a report on diet, IM, and the search for opinions of people on the matter. And no fear in asking you not to cheat or do something, just ask to what other people think. Thank you very much! Do not worry, do not ask in, because the are interested in a fad diet, in something against them. I dont really like it, I think, a bad way to lose weight. But in listening to both sides.

They work in the short term, so they’re great if you have something coming up that you want to look your very best at. Of course long term they can be dangerous to your health, and also if you do a fad diet you will put on weight when you go back to eating normally!!
Thats my opinion but I’m not sure if its fact or not. Another opinion is I don’t care, everyone can eat whatever they want its their business!!

Great. For their promoters.
And since they always lead to yoyoing or get dropped for other reasons, the customer will be coming back for more of the same.
So don’t be a sucker.
Do a web search on diets, and pick out a few such as Atkins or South Beach or Type, and try to find some real scientific evaluations (“appeared on Oprah” doesn’t count)

The problem with not loosing weight properly, is that your body figures out that what is happening to it is not healthy, and it tries to make you stop losing weight. Your metabolism will slow down so that your body can make better use of the food that you do eat, and your body will make your brain tell you that you are hungry so you will eat, this means that your chances of losing weight decrease.
Even worse, your body remembers this so that the next time you try to diet it kicks into gear faster, and takes the same protectionist stance.
A healthy diet that gives a slow weight loss combined with an exercise program is always best.
